Strange things really are afoot...

Wow!  For the past 3 1/2 months since I've been home I've had a strangely strong desire to start my own blog.  Maybe it was the fact that ALL my siblings but Ashton have their own blogs, or the fun of seeing my mission blog that my Mom and Olivia created for me.  Perhaps it was Olivia's blog post on why everyone should have a blog OR the fact that everyone really does seem to have a blog these days.

I'm not sure why I've wanted a blog, though.  Before my mission, the idea of a blog really didn't appeal to me.  It seemed like I neither had the time to keep it up-to-date, nor the fun experiences that were (seemingly) required to make it interesting.  I've since come to my senses, and realized that a blog is as much for you as it is for others.  And after all, as long as you have fun blogging, others will have fun reading it.

Finally determining to start a blog for myself, I logged into blogger and realized I didn't know what I was going to call it.  And I had to have a good name, otherwise it would bug me.  So that's as far as I got.  And I've been trying to come up with a good name ever since.  At one point I thought I'd do something like "The Learning Curve", because I love to learn, and I love to share what I learn.  But the name was already taken.
Just now I was reading a post from my girlfriend, Hannah Hillam's blog, and I felt a renewed determination to start my own.  To my utter bewilderment, I was asked upon logging in if I wanted to claim an old blog created a long time ago under my name. It was called "See Sean. See Sean Run."  I laughed at how much it sounded like a name I would come up with, and I laughed at how I never remembered making it.  It seemed strangely meant to be, like a Me from the future–or in this case the past–had made it for me, knowing I would need it. :D

And so, that's the story. I found this old blog of mine from 2005 and decided it would be perfect for my needs... kind of like finding an old journal and realizing it still had a ton of nice, blank pages.  Sweet.

So, thank you future/past Sean for preparing this blog for me, and sparing me so much decision-making.  Enjoy, everyone.

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K...

Wow.. I can't believe I actually did it. But here I am. With my own Blog. I think I'd have done it sooner if it wasn't such a weird word... Oh well. I figured I'd have to give in eventually. After all, everybody's doing it...
